About The Role


We are looking for a dynamic and driven individual to operationally direct a team of Retail Managers in the development and delivery of the Area Retail Plan.  There is a focus on delivering profit through people, to achieve all financial and customer satisfaction targets, ensuring all operational objectives and KPIs, which support our ambition, are achieved.

3 role locations - North London, East London & West London The Challenge : To participate as an integral member of the Regional operations team working closely with the Regional Operations Manager, and other key stakeholders, to fully contribute to the development of the regional operational business strategy. Develop and propose an annual business plan for the Area that will support the attainment of the overall operational business strategy. Deliver the approved business plan in the most effective and efficient way to meet all objectives including financial, people, operational and service based regional targets. To provide effective leadership, development and performance management across the Area ensuring that performance management targets are met and remedial and supportive action is taken quickly. Continually seek and promote innovative ways of delivering the Gross Win budget on OTC (Over the Counter) and Machines business in order to maximise profitability, both in the short and long term. To develop then lead and deliver an Area and 'People Plan' that focuses on engaging, developing and optimising the output of all regional human resources. Ensuring that talent, development and succession plans are delivered across the Area ensuring a pipeline of high performing talent at all times. Monitor ongoing process and continuous improvement activity driven by achieving and exceeding customer expectation, delivering on service improvement plans, service quality measures and net promoter scores. Manage all cost lines within the budget and ensure all margin protection processes are implemented effectively to maximise profitability and deliver EBITDA contribution. Take the appropriate action to ensure the consistent delivery of the required ROI through upgrades, transfers and new licences. Ensure that all activity within the Area complies with the requirements of the Gambling Commission, the Company's licence and Health and Safety, in order to minimise risk and protect both customers and the reputation of the business.What you will need:  Excellent people management skills and an ability to influence and negotiate at all levels and including at executive level. Experience of working in a multi-site leisure/retail/hospitality/blue chip/customer focused environment within a Middle Management capacity. Demonstrable experience of P and L ownership and substantial EBITDA contribution. A strong track record of building, managing and motivating teams to drive profit, growth and the brand. Ability to develop cross-functional and cross-border relationships effectively and quickly. Ability to demonstrate directive and inspirational leadership skills whilst being a team player. Strong demonstrable communication skills (both written and verbal).
