About the role:

We have a brilliant opportunity for a Model Co-ordinator to join our Construction Design Standards team in Property. The role reports into the Model Manager - Construction Design Standards. The purpose of the role is to coordinate construction information to support the update of ASDA's Construction Model & Specifications. This includes technical specifications, data & where appropriate supporting, organising and developing content. Working closely with the Model Specification Coordinator to ensure model change requests are supported with suitable content and data. The role involves information coordination, data exchange and content creation which are all core to success in the role. A flexible approach will make this role an exciting opportunity to grow and learn new skills beyond this core activity. Ultimately the Model Coordinator will influence decisions on how to build new stores and refurbish our estate of existing stores. Candidates may have experience in architectural information & interior design management.

The ins & outs:
Provide support to the Construction Model Manager & Model Specification Coordinator with Specification Change Requests, and ensure that content required for the upkeep of the design standards are suitably created and comply with the businesses Employer Information Requirements (EIR).
Ensure the smooth development and transition of technical information across formats and projects. Sense check, interrogate and validate data/information and ensure that Building Information Modelling (BIM) standards and procedures are followed, this includes data inputs from ASDA's asset and store maintenance platforms.
Maintain Common Data Environment whilst understanding; document control, procurement and other related parties/systems where data needs to be shared across multiple platforms.
Reporting, validation and delivery of process for Project Information Models (PIM) to ensure deliverables follow the agreed protocols, data is to the defined levels of information as requested in the Employers Information Requirements (EIR) and that the information is accurate
Enforce Building Information Modelling (BIM) standards to ensure delivery of the project BIM goals and requirements of the business through the Employers Information Requirements (EIR)
Support where applicable in the cross platform data transfer of the Project Information Model (PIM) and develop an understanding of where Application Programme Interface (API) can be developed to make use of common data languages
Implement and promote process efficiency through various platforms and participating in relevant technical & development forums.
Undertake administration duties across the team and customise the Building Information Modelling (BIM) environment to align with company standards, procedures and goals.
Able to build and maintain close working relationships with the ASDA construction design teams and external consultants. Cross functional engagement will be essential, both internally & externally.
