An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Children Services Manager to join our well established crèche and children's activities in the Milngavie area.

A Children Services Manager leads a team of people who provide day care and learning for babies and young children from birth to five years and fun based activities for children aged five to 15 years.

The day-to-day running of the service would be your responsibility. You would manage and support staff, make sure that the department offers a safe and caring environment for all children to develop and learn.

You would plan activities for the children in line with the national guidance for early learning. You would work closely with the National Children's Services Manager to make sure Health and Social Care Standards are implemented as envisaged by Care Inspectorate and expected at annual inspection.

A Degree level of qualification is required in addition to a proven track record of supervising and motivating staff. SVQ level 4 in Children's Care, Learning and Development is a minimum requirement. Must be prepared to study towards a BA in childhood practice whilst working (If not already working towards).

The successful applicant will have an excellent knowledge of Pre-Birth to Three, GIRFEC, Building the Ambition and all other relevant regulatory documents. Advantageous to holding a full driving license as you will be required to attend manager's meetings in other clubs as required plus any other training opportunities that are appropriate to your role.

Successful applicant will be appointed on the succession of PVG and SSSC application.
