The Inn on the Green sits at the top of the central green area in Acomb, on the outskirts of the beautiful historic tourist destination York.

A refurbishment in 2013 involved a complete interior and exterior redevelopment which transformed the pub into a attractive village local with cask ales and home cooked food.

The interior of the pub is large open plan space with a comfortable lounge with high, free-standing and fixed seating and a dining area.

To the rear of the pub there is a large double level beer garden – a patio with comfortable seating and a garden area made attractive with plants and flowers. The beer garden is a popular place to drink and dine in times of warmer weather.

There are two large outhouses currently used for storage.

There is secure parking space for two cars.

A galley style commercial kitchen is fully equipped to offer a good quality food menu. Private accommodation is of good standard.

Trading Style

Sales are an equal wet/dry split and trade comes from both the local community and visitors to Acomb.

The pub offers traditional home cooked pub fayre which is offered lunch times and evenings. Coffees and cakes are offered and the pub is an inviting meeting place throughout the day.

Food is available all week with a Sunday carvery.

There is low key entertainment at weekends.

The Inn is village pub with a good choice of beers and wines, and a reasonably priced dining offer, with a distinct ambiance which makes it unique in the immediate area
