The Room Service Manager role:

 

As a Room Service Manager you are responsible to achieve the highest level of guest satisfaction and departmental profitability in a friendly team environment.

 

  • As a Room Service Manager, you will ensure the smooth running of all aspects of the Room Service department. The team consists of three full time members of staff, plus casual employees to help with busy periods.
  • You will ensure all staff members taking orders over the telephone answer in an efficient and friendly manner.
  • You will oversee all aspects of the daily operation of the hotel's Room Service operation and report to the Food and Beverage Manager.
  • You will work closely with the reception team who will take food orders during busy periods.
  • You may be required to work in other food and beverage outlets when the business requires
  • You will be working hours as required for the business, which will include evenings, weekends and some split shifts.

The Room Service Manager will:

 

  • Have a good command of the English language, both verbal and written.
  • Have proven experience as a supervisor or manager within a food and beverage department of a similar high- quality establishment.
  • Have experience of supervising a team and resolving conflict.
  • Be able a team player with a resilient and confident personality.
  • Be computer literate, with knowledge of Microsoft Office and telephone systems.
  • Possess a 'can do' attitude, attention to detail and be able to use their own initiative.
