We have an exciting opportunity for a Fixed Term Sales Executive to join our highly successful team in Manchester where you will receive a competitive salary plus amazing benefits which include FREE parking, FREE membership to our state of the art gyms, excellent holiday allowance as well as discounted food & beverage and stays in our hotels. This role is to cover a maternity leave placement. 

The role is predominately to assist the Regional Director of Sales in all areas of proactive sales activities, driving sales & achieving set revenue targets.  To seek out new opportunities for the Manchester Cluster properties and the Village Brand.

You must have experience in a similar environment with the knowledge and confidence to deliver the role described below combined with a passion for delivering exceptional service through your team.

To become our Sales Executive you must have the following skills, experience and attributes:

  • Strong sales skills – demonstrate confidence and ability when communicate and is effective in converting prospects to delivered revenue.
  • Track record of achievement – at least 2 years’ experience in the hospitality / other fmcg, brand led or customer facing proactive sales environment.
  • Excellent knowledge of Groups, Meeting and Events market segment, leisure groups sales experience would also be preferable.
  • Highly motivated self-starter with “can-do” approach, combined with a strong customer service ethic and creative problems solving style.
  • Ability to work within a team in a collaborative manner.
  • Commercially aware – sees how the sales contribution aligns with hotel and brand plans and actively seeks out ways to drive revenue.
  • Effective communicator – orally and written across varying levels of seniority, with natural rapport building skills.
  • Tenacious and creative in pursuing results.  Passionate, energetic and can deliver at pace.
  • Comfortable working under own initiative with limited supervision and as part of a team.
  • Ability to assimilate information quickly and effectively plan.
  • Quick thinking and flexible in approach.
  • A positive, team focused personality, resilient, calm and not easily “phased”.
  • Sets and sustains high standards – technical and personal.
  • Keen interest in the brand.
