The Upham Pub Company is a pub company like no other. We are a company that specialises in fabulous pubs, expertly designing and furnishing each one of them to suit the setting and the surroundings they are in. Whilst no two pubs are the same, they all have the passion to deliver excellent food and exemplary service – at all times.
We are currently looking for a Sous Chef for the 2 rosette Bunk Inn in Newbury to join our expanding team. We believe in offering unique, tasty, freshly prepared food in each of our pubs.
Our Head Chefs are given the freedom to cook what they want, when they want and as part of that team – you too could help design inspiring original menus for all occasions and seasons.
You will be supported at all times by an experienced Head Chef and Pub Manager and a strong and knowledgeable team of individuals behind the scenes - all of whom have a great deal of experience working in this ever changing industry.
- Responsibility for the running of the kitchen in the absence of the Head Chef
- Assisting in the recruitment, management and development of the Kitchen team
- Menu development, costing
- Wastage control
- Health and Safety monitoring
As a Sous Chef you will bring fresh ideas, a real ‘can do’ attitude and a passion to deliver exceptional food – every time. If you have a steady and reliable track record in the kitchen, are happy working under pressure and have a positive thinking, no problem approach to working in a kitchen – then we are the ideal company for you.
Experience working as a Sous chef in a fresh food establishment or a Senior Chef de partie is required. Rosette experience is not required.
- £24,000 - £26,000 per annum plus tips
