Facilities Manager - Solent Hotel&Spa, Fareham

We’re looking for an experienced Facilities Manager to join the ‘Leadership team’ and oversee multiple departments, facilities and grounds, at the 4 Star Solent Hotel & Spa, Lodge at Solent and Parsons Collar Pub & Kitchen.

The Solent Hotel & Spa has 117 bedrooms, 13 meeting and event suites, fully equipped Spa with 13 metre pool and Jacuzzi, gym and fitness studio and 8 treatment rooms. We have a brand new restaurant and bar with alfresco area (in the warmer months) and external areas of mature landscapes and gardens.

Our 54 bedroomed Lodge opened August 2017, and sits adjacent to our existing pub, The Parsons Collar Pub & Kitchen. There is also 2 staff houses to oversee.

With your teams, you will need to ensure all our facilities are presented to a very high standard whilst delivering a robust health and safety management system for all our guests and staff members. Your departments are Housekeeping, Maintenance, Nights and Gardening.

You will have responsibility over the Capital Expenditure programme and will be asked to project manage any refurbishment projects our business carries out.

In order to be considered for this role;

  • You must be focussed and aware of our sales and budgets, whilst ensuring fabulous guest experiences are delivered
  • Be highly organised and have a great eye for detail
  • Passionate about working with a team, skilled at managing multiple departments and people and developing their key skills
  • Up-to-date with industry trends
  • Have experience with facilities management (hotel experience is preferred)
  • Proven ability to manage cost efficiencies and budgets, whilst maintaining the high standards we set ourselves
  • Excellent guest care and focus
  • Have qualifications in IOSH, Health & Safety Level 3, Project Management, Pool Plant and Fire Safety

This is a full time permanent role and will require the chosen individual to be flexible with their working hours across 5 days to manage and oversee all of our facilities and your departments.
