Apprentice Greenkeeper - Crane Valley Hoburne Golf, Verwood

Crane Valley in Verwood are looking to recruit a Greenkeeping Apprentice to assist with in the day-to-day set up and maintenance of the course, all the related practice facilities and planted areas. This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone with a keen interest in golf and greenkeeping.

The role is varied, and duties would include: mowing the greens and fairways, topdressing and treating turf, seeding, renovating and maintaining bunkers, maintaining practice area, servicing machinery and general maintenance work.

The Greenkeeping team are currently in the second year of a five-year course re-development project that has already seen the standard of the course improve dramatically. As such it is an exciting time to join the team.

The ideal candidate would be local to the area, keen to learn, hardworking, reliable and have some interest in greenkeeping. Being a golfer would be advantageous although not essential.

Training will be provided in the workplace where you will work towards a Level 2 Golf Greenkeeping Apprenticeship.

You will work 40 hours per week between 6am (earliest start) and 2.30pm (latest finish), Monday to Friday with some occasional weekend work required.  You will be paid a minimum of £5.00 per hour. This will be reviewed throughout the programme and may increase depending on performance and progression.
