Role Objective:

  • To complete Internal Audits within the Managed Estate.
  • Liquor and Food audits to be completed on a schedule compiled by the SIA.
  • To complete the risk report to generate the new risk weighted score for each outlet.
  • To complete full cash reconciliation in all Managed houses both as part of the routine visit, on request, and on unannounced visits.
  • To assist in the provision of training within cash and stock audit.
  • To assist in the writing of the finance audit, and to complete a full financial audit on any site.
  • Assist in the management of the EPOS systems.
  • Provide cover for the IA.

Duties:

  • Complete auditor level Liquor and Food stocktaking within the schedule compiled.
  • Full cash reconciliation at site level, completing a full cash audit.
  • ABV tests using a hydrometer.
  • Assistance to sites which require training in stock control and general financial administration.
  • Complete financial audit in all sites, within the schedule and criteria within the audit remit.
  • Both announced and unannounced audits to be completed during the year.
  • Assist in the programming and maintenance of the EPOS system.
  • To train managers and assistants on stock and cash procedures where required and maintain training records.
  • To provide cover for the IA when required.

Person:

The internal support auditor must:

  • Be of graduate calibre
  • Be highly numerical
  • Have excellent report writing skills
  • Have excellent IT skills
  • Be mobile with a full, clean driving licence.

Responsibilities:

The Internal support auditor is responsible for the correct risk audit scoring from each audit completed of both liquor and food stock control audits.

The reporting and communication of findings and action plans presented to site Managers, Area Managers, Audit Manager, and to follow up on these actions on the following return visits.

Completion of stock control audits, and their reporting in a timely manner.

To assist in all aspects of the Aztec system, it’s general administration, maintenance and reports.

Relationships:

The Internal Support Auditor reports in to the Senior Internal Auditor, who in turn reports in to the Finance/Operations Liaison Manager within the Finance department.  They will attend meetings as and when required, to provide cover within the department as necessary, and to attend any training courses appropriate for their development.  They will have functional relationships with the Operations department and Finance department.  They must have good working relationships with the district, and treat all Managers members equally.
