Job SummaryYour role as a Front Office Associate you will be expected to supply the highest possible level of customer care and service whether in the public eye or in the Heart of the House, liaise with various departments specifically housekeepingfor the daily allocation of rooms. You will be an informative member of the team educating guests on knowledge of hotel rates, special rates, local areas/tourism and the hotels facilities and grounds. You will learn how to understand the correct reservation procedures and to take any reservations in the absence of the reservations agent. You will be operating the telephone and using a PC along with the Micros system. As a Front Office Associate you will be responsible for all payment transactions on the shift and become an integral part of the team. It is crucial that you withhold an accuracy of attention to detail as any you will be solefully responsible for any discrepancies which when spotted must be reported as a matter of urgency to your shift manager. All Marriott policies on cash, key and all controls must be adhered to and followed consistently throughout your department and the hotel as a whole.Clean and maintain all areas through the lobby and front office areas. Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager; complete safety training and certifications.
