About The Role

Role Purpose

As the Senior Finance Analyst within the Finance team, you will be responsible for revenue, costs and KPIs in relation to Customer Services, Telephone Betting and Customer Commercial Operations departments across all locations (Gibraltar, Woking, Barking, Manila). The role will involve accounting processes, budgeting, forecasting and reporting, ensuring timely and accurate reports are delivered to finance and non-finance stakeholders to a high standard.

Vital to your role is the ability to work remotely, to be proactive and self-starting by nature, and to build up strong relationships across locations and operations.

Reporting to the Head of Commercial Finance, you are expected to be an integral part of the overall digital finance team, and support the overall workload ensuring deadlines are met.

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparing monthly management reporting on Customer Services, Telephone Betting and Customer Commercial Operations which are delivered according to reporting deadlines to the Digital Exec
  • Review and analyse this area of the businesses to add value and drive operational efficiency and performance improvement working closely with the performance team in Manila
  • Ensure a strong working knowledge of the commercial trends impacting the business in order to understand cost variances
  • Deliver insightful analysis and commentary on all key variances to budget/plan/prior year in order to explain performance and operational efficiency
  • Work with stakeholders to deliver proactive management of the cost base of the business andhelp identify areas where costs can be better managed
  • Working closely with the Digital Financial Controller and Head of Commercial Finance produce the budget and quarterly re-forecasts for the Telephone Betting business, and the cost budgets for the CS & CCO departments
  • Act as business partner to the COO and Customer Services and CCO Directors, providing Finance support for all live CS, Telebet & CCO projects, actively challenging commercial and assumptions and cost estimates and assisting delivery of projects both on time and in budget
  • Support and report on the delivery of all synergy savings identified and delivered within the CS, Telebet and CCO functions
  • Review invoices, ensuring that all have been coded correctly and flagging to the Accounts Payable team where changes need to be made and assisting the team in coding supplier invoices and recharges
  • Review purchase orders raised on to ensure costs are within budget and coded correctly
  • Prepare ad hoc reports and investigations at the request of stakeholders, providing financial support to senior management
  • Ensuring that all queries from internal stakeholders are dealt with effectively and promptly
  • Provide information required to auditors during internal and external audit processes to ensure compliance with requirements
Experience Required
  • Significant experience in management accounting, ideally within a commercial customer operations role
  • Good technical skills
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Good communication skills, verbal and written
  • Experience in using reporting tools
  • Experience of budgeting, planning and forecasting processes
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and develop good working relationships
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Well organized with the ability to prioritise in order to deal with high volume of work and tight deadlines
  • Able to work independently, efficiently and accurately in a time sensitive environment
  • Manage your own time effectively, plan ahead and adopt a methodical approach to your work
