One of our Central Support Offices is based in Gosforth and is a bustling hub of Parkdean Resorts. This exciting place to work houses all the essential supporting functions for our 72 holiday parks along with our award winning Contact Centre.

This modern office has a great feel, a mix of energetic knowledgeable professionals all working as one unified team to achieve Parkdean Resorts objectives. Based near the centre of Newcastle upon Tyne, it has great transport links.

Licensing Paralegal

Our Legal team is expanding and a new and exciting opportunity has arisen for a paralegal to join our in-house team based within our central support office in Gosforth. You will deal predominantly with licensing matters but will also assist the team in a variety of legal matters affecting the group's 72 holiday parks in the UK.

Your main responsibilities will include:

* Managing the group's licences and registrations used throughout the business which span a wide range of areas including alcohol, gambling, entertainment, environmental, security and other regulatory areas

* Responsibility for ensuring that all required documentation is in place including preparing and submitting licensing applications and registrations and renewals

* Instructing and liasing with solicitors and other suppliers in respect of applications and renewals of licences and registrations

* Being the day to day point of contact for licensing administration within the business and the main contact for suppliers of licensing services

* Managing and maintaining a database of people within the business who hold personal licences in respect of alcohol and gambling

* Identifying legislative and other business requirements and reviewing these with stakeholders to ensure continued compliance

The successful candidate will:-

* have a recognised legal qualification (law degree or non-law degree plus the GDL)

* have excellent communication skills - both written and verbal

* have the ability to use their own initiative and have a high degree of attention to detail

* be proactive, with excellent time management and personal organisation

* be positive, flexible and be able to operate in a fast moving environment

* be comfortable with word and excel applications

You will ideally have completed your LPC (Legal Practice Course). However this is not essential. No previous experience of licensing is required as training will be given.
