Food and Beverage Assistant - Grand City Hotel

Grange Hotels are a leading independent group of hotels nestled in the heart of London with 17 luxurious hotels providing 4 star and 5 star accommodations. We are currently recruiting individuals with strong drive and passion for excellence to join our professional Food and Beverage team.

General Functions:

To assist in all aspects of F&B operations in all F&B outlets.

To welcome, seat and serve food and beverages to guests in a positive, polite and professional manner, aiming to provide complete guest satisfaction, while working in an organised and efficient way to meet department schedules.

  • Present the correct menus and give any explanation on menu items as required.
  • Promote certain items of food and drinks at appropriate times (e.g. special weekend menus etc.)
  • Serve drinks in the correct glassware at the correct temperature and with the appropriate accompaniments.
  • Prepare buffet displays as required.
  • Execute table, plated, buffet, carvery, silver, bar and any other type of restaurant service as required.
  • Clear guest tables, buffets, trays and trolleys of soiled and non-required table items at appropriate times.

Skills, Knowledge and Experience required:

  • Good spoken English with polite, friendly and good customer service skills
  • Eye for detail
  • Flexibility
  • Ability to carry on tasks independently

Previous experience in similar role is desirable. Successful candidate needs to be ready to work 6 days / week = 45 hrs /week in shifts
