We are opening a brand new facility within Horspath, Oxford Sports Park, boasting 2 cricket pitches, 5 football pitches, 6 5aside 3G pitches, 2 7aside 3G pitches with a pavilion to include café area and changing rooms.  As such, we are looking for a Team Leader/Duty Manager, who will be commercially focused, operationally sound and driven to meet and exceed the centre's income targets and KPI's.

 

You will need to be passionate about sport and football, and have an in depth knowledge of the market along with the ability to ensure players are having fun and can connect with the Centre and its staff to build long term customer retention. As Team Leader/Duty Manager you will keep up with emerging industry trends, ensuring all programming is fit for purpose, capitalising on  revenue for all activities. You will also mentor and develop your team, serve as duty manager and deputise for the General Manager as required.

Our Team Leaders are responsible for ensuring each shift goes off without a hitch. As Team Leader you will provide duty management coverage across all aspects of the centre while on shift, jumping in where ever needed while ensuring customers are happy, team members are clearly communicated with and are deployed to the right places. This role really gives you the opportunity to learn all aspects of the business in preparation for your next career step.

The successful Team Leader will have:

  • First Aid at Work Certificate (training available)
  • Supervisory experience in the hospitality or service industry
  • Understanding of relevant health and safety legislation
  • Excellent verbal communication skills, including the ability to influence and persuade.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office Skills
  • Good numerical and written skills
