Leisure Assistant - Casual Hours

Salary - £7.82 per hour

 

Serco are seeking 4 casual Leisure Assistants to assist, monitor and supervise customers in recreational activities at Oswestry Leisure Centre, as it is a casual contract you will be required to work as and when but mainly around school holiday periods.

 

As Leisure Assistants you will have specific responsibilities for providing clean and safe recreational facilities and activities and for ensuring that customers enjoy themselves. The main purpose of the role is to work within our superstars holiday club, entertaining children between the age of 5-11 years, covering a range of activities. From arts and crafts, cooking to sporting activities.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide clean, safe, warm, friendly and fun facilities and activities
- Provide a friendly and welcome service to all customers
- Maintain a full product knowledge of the services available at the centre and advise customers accordingly
- Adopt a pro-active approach to encouraging the children within the holiday club.

Skills, Experience and Qualifications:

Qualifications
- First Aid at Work (desirable)
- Sports Coaching Qualification (desirable)

Essential Skills
- Excellent product knowledge/experience
- Good customer care skills
- Good communication skills
- Health & Safety training/awareness
- The ability to deal with customers of all age groups and levels of ability
