Monday to Friday 12pm – 9pm

Salary £23,500 + over time

A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen for a Chef De Partie to join the team on a fixed term basis until December 2018.

Located within the hidden cloisters of the London legal quarter, you will find one of Searcys private member restaurants at Inner Temple called Pegasus, which is conveniently situated in an impressive and unique setting in the heart of Mid-Town between the City and West End.

We cater for Barristers and Judges that are affiliated within the Inner Temple. Therefore, our menu offer changes on a monthly basis; to ensure that we have a varied selection of dishes for our guests at all times. We are proud to use local and fresh ingredients, and our lunch time menus are all à la carte followed by our evening menu which offers items such as canapés and tapas.  In addition to the restaurant, we also cater for events such as corporate events/weddings and our marquee which is open during the summer.

As a Chef De Partie your role will involve;

• Preparation of food ahead of service
• Cooking freshly cooked dishes
• Ensuring that the kitchen areas are clean at all times
• Stepping up to lead the kitchen in the Head Chefs absence
• Providing input to the Head Chef regarding the monthly menu changes in addition to involvement of the tasting sessions prior to the approval of the new menu

The ideal candidate for this role will have;

• Previous à la carte restaurant experience
• Health & Safety level 2
• Classic training NVQ level 3
• Passion to learn and grow within your role
• Good communication skills and work well within a team
• Natural flair and passion for food, and be confident in providing input to the wider team
