Conference and Banqueting Manager Role Description:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Conference & Banqueting Manager to join our award winning Conference and Banqueting team.
As Conference & Banqueting Manager you will be:
- Responsible for the daily operations of the Conference and Banqueting department
- You will manage conferences and banquets ensuring consistency in setup and throughout the execution of the event
- Together with the C&B Management Team, you will ensure that your staff are motivated and trained to meet the highest levels of guest care and service.
- You will oversee a management team, a team of regular staff members and temporary agency staff.
- You will be a part of the Food and Beverage team, working alongside other Food and Beverage Heads of Department.
Required Experience:
- Previous management experience within a luxury hotel environment is essential as you will be overseeing luxury weddings and exclusive conferences and events
- Well organised, outgoing and service-minded
- Ability to multi-task and troubleshoot throughout the department
- Excellent customer service skills & attention to detail
- Impeccable personal appearance
- Strong interpersonal skills, articulate and confident communicator
- Handle pressure calmly and professionally
- Thrive on working in a fast-paced and energetic environment
- Sound financial knowledge and budgetary control experience
- Development of training activities and Standard Operating Procedures
- Personal preference to be on the floor and be prepared to get physically involved in set-ups, clear-downs, service and function requests
- Rota development and staff scheduling
