Seasonal Gardener (March- October)​ - Loch Lomond Golf Club, Alexandria

Hours: Shifts that will be regularly covered – 7.30am – 4pm (very occassionally may include weekend)

Loch Lomond Golf Club boasts some of the most breathtaking scenery in the world of golf, with the Scottish Highlands providing a perfect backdrop to an exceptional 7,100 yard parkland golf course, estate and gardens.

Role:

The successful candidate would be expected to undertake a diverse range of activities involved in decorative garden duties as well as:-

  • Operate motorised equipment and vehicles used within gardens and estate in an efficient, safe manner
  • Assist with the development of new projects
  • Operate light powered equipment and vehicles in the maintenance of all gardens and estate
  • Maintain all lawns, shrubs and hedges
  • Remove fallen leaves and debris
  • Maintains, lubricates and makes minor adjustments to equipment
  • Assist with fertilising of plants and turf

 Person:

  • Express a lot of enthusiasm for working in gardening
  • Demonstrate evidence of being a good team member and communicator
  • Demonstrate motivation to work hard and effectively
  • Previous experience in gardening/horticulture would be advantageous, but not essential as training will be given
  • You must demonstrate excellent time management skills
  • Be able to communicate effective with colleagues
  • Will have a polite manner for talking to Members and their guests
  • Comply with any reasonable request by the senior management
  • Adhere to H&S Policy

You may be asked to start earlier than planned, work later than your rota’d finish time or come into work at short notice to fulfil business requirements as our environment is weather dependant and we are constantly striving to meet Members and their guests needs and expectations, so please consider this when deciding if you are the right person for the job.
