We have a fantastic opportunity for a talented Bar Manager to join our team at this marque site that boasts modern dining and an AA Rosette.

The Talbot Hotel is a historic hotel located in Oundle, Northamptonshire. Operating with a premium Food and Beverage operation, coupled with a busy bedroom offering, we are the marquee venue in this stunning Market Town.

If you fit the following description we would love to hear from you:

  • Possess a real passion for hospitality and guest engagement
  • Have full responsibility for the successful running of the hotel bars
  • Be responsible for the training and development of bar team members
  • Assist the Hotel General Manager in recruitment and induction of new team members
  • Possess a thorough understanding of stock control, ordering and G.P's.
  • Take responsibility for stock ordering, stock levels and upkeep of storage areas
  • An excellent and wide knowledge of spirits, cocktails, wines and beers
  • Able to ensure best practice and compliance for health & safety and food safety
  • Ideally a personal Licence Holder
  • Must be proficient on the bar, and strong cocktail knowledge and menu development.
  • Be a hands on manager, this is not the job for people who want to hide in the office!
  • Experience of writing rotas, working within cost constraints.
  • Have the ability to motivate and manage a team and create a strong teamwork ethic.
  • Be innovative, enthusiastic and full of ideas to stay competitive and strong in the market.
  • You live within a commutable distance of Moreton-in-Marsh, Gloucestershire
