Buying Manager - Food To Go
About the role:
Food To Go is one of the fastest growing categories in our Food commercial trading team. It has been classed by the business as a Power category and is aimed to accelerate its growth further in 2018! Capital has been allocated to both trial and ultimately roll out of new Food To Go (FTG) kit which also includes incremental space and improved ownership in store of the department. The role will cover both Private Label and large branded suppliers as well as building close ties with Retail to maximise the availability in all store formats.

You will be a highly driven individual and a combination of Own Label and Private label experience would be ideal as well as some store knowledge to understand availability and accountabilities in store. You must also be able to deliver through a team and have clear vision to step the category on over the foreseeable future.

- Full P&L Management
- Line Management responsibility
- Responsible for delivering Joint Business Plans with Suppliers
- Owning and Delivering the long term strategy

- Working across one of the biggest growth categories in the business
- Working across an own label and branded area
- Building Retail Relationships
- Manage the P&L
- Delivering the Category strategy
- Analysing consumer buying patterns and predicting future trends
- Reacting to changes in demand and logistics
- Meeting suppliers and negotiating terms of contract
- Maintaining relationships with existing suppliers and sourcing new suppliers for future products
- Liaising with other categories within the department to ensure all strategies are aligned
- Building a strong promotional plan
