We are currently recruiting for a nutritionist on maternity cover for up to a period of 9 months and working hours will be up to 21 hours

Champneys is a destination health spa chain with resorts and day spas located in the English counties of Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire, Leicestershire and Hampshire.

The Wellbeing and Fitness nutritionist will work with the Wellbeing and Fitness Manager/Director and chef in the following areas:

• Develop an outstanding repertoire of healthy cuisine within the health resort.  Help to develop menu choice, content and quality within the health resort restaurants, spa café and weight loss/detox breaks, reinforcing the company philosophy for healthy lifestyle through a balanced diet.
• To help develop and train the Kitchen, Restaurant and Fitness staff in basic nutrition and choice of cuisine available at the health resort.
• To coordinate Boot Camps, weight management and detox breaks and present talks to promote nutrition services.
• To conduct group talks on a wide range of Nutrition topics  
• Develop and build a nutrition department that offers a variety of nutrition services including consultations, food sensitivity testing.
• To liaise with the Restaurant Manager/Supervisor on buffet presentations and food service issues.
• To ensure communication channels are maintained between kitchen, restaurant and fitness to produce a high quality end product.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Qualifications

• You will have a degree level (ideally Nutritional Therapy but other relevant nutrition disciplines will be considered) or ION full diploma graduate

Experience and Skills

• One to one Nutrition consultations on general wellbeing, weight management, stress and female hormone balance plus advise on nutritional therapy associated to specific health conditions. Experience recommending nutritional supplements is preferred and knowledge / understanding / experience of functional testing such as Food intolerance, Adrenal stress profiles and Nutrigenomnics

Knowledge and Understanding

• Knowledge, background and passion for the fitness and leisure industry.

• Exceptionally well groomed and presented and dress in full company uniform at all times.
• The ability to work with discretion and in confidence, respecting guest privacy.
