Driver/Customer Services Officer - Levante Beach Resort, Rhodes

The Driver/Customer Services Officer is a vital support role, combining both practical and administrative responsibilities.

Driver

Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the basic maintenance of the resort vehicle(s), transporting guests to and from the local doctor, hospital or police station, assisting guests once at such locations, regular shopping trips to pick up supplies for the hotel departments, trips to the airport to collect lost luggage and providing support to the cycling operation by attending to mechanical and accident call-outs in the vehicle.

Customer Services

In a customer facing role reporting directly to the Customer Services Manager, you will build and maintain excellent relationships with guests whilst ensuring their needs are catered for at every opportunity. There will be various administrative responsibilities to complete alongside your other duties.

You can gain new qualifications, there’s a development programme for career progression with the prospect to work for Mark Warner year-round by spending the winter in one of our chalet hotels in top European ski destinations.

Main Responsibilities

  • General maintenance of the resort vehicle(s); Daily washing and cleaning of interior and exterior. Filling up the fuel tank, regular checks of oil, radiator and windscreen washer fluid levels, and the monitoring of tyre pressures.
  • Reporting of any mechanical problems to line managers.
  • Attending emergency and mechanical call outs from the cycling team.
  • Transport of hotel guests to local doctors, hospitals and police stations where appropriate.
  • Visits to airport to collect any late or lost luggage.
  • Regular shopping runs to pick up supplies for hotel departments.
  • Provision of first aid to guests and staff when required.
  • Assisting the Customer Services Manager with arrivals lists, complaint handling and guest requests.
  • Providing a direct support to the Customer Services Manager in preparation for transfer day; helping with coach orders,
  • Assisting the Operations Manager with weekly routine administrative duties.
  • Informing departments of new arrivals, pre-booked courses and any special requests.
  • Assisting with evening entertainments.
  • Preparation and updating of resort notice board.
  • Staffing the Cycling Operations Desk.
  • Regular liaison with local reception staff, reporting any issues back to Mark Warner management.

Abilities and Skills

  • Must be at least 23 years old to be insured on company vehicle(s).
  • Clean driving licence
  • Valid first aid certificate
  • Presents a ‘can do’ attitude
  • Be a team player
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership
  • Innovative approach to solutions and problem solving
  • Confident to resolve issues without the need for management
  • Self- motivational attitude
  • Outgoing, energetic, positive attitude
