What we need in a nutshell

Away Resorts is a fast-growing holiday company with locations across the UK. As Assistant Yield and Inventory Manager you will be helping us to achieve our ambitious revenue, margin and guest targets by ensuring our inventory records are accurate, and manage prices for the holidays we sell.

Some of the background

We’re not your average holiday company. Our guests come to our UK resorts to experience a world away from their day-to-day. When they are with us, they play crazy games, enjoy show-stopping entertainment and live in the moment. Our job is to surprise and delight them at every turn.

We need you to be the person who delivers delight by ensuring that our sales teams have inventory and pricing information at their fingertips, so they can help guests book their perfect holiday, and maximise yield for the business.

The nitty gritty of what you’ll be doing

Working in our central support office as part of our slightly bonkers team of holiday heroes, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Keeping the holiday inventory and reservations system up to date and accurate
  • Providing insightful reports and making yield recommendations to increase revenue and profits
  • Managing 3rd party suppliers to maximise yield
  • Engaging and coaching the holiday sales & marketing teams in head office and across the parks, to maximise yield
  • Developing processes that allow us to work better, faster and smarter

 Skills, experience and qualities you’ll need

If you have the following, let’s hear from you:

  • GCSE grade C or above in both English and maths
  • Intermediate level Excel and experience with MS Office applications in general
  • Experience working with reservation systems or a similar internal system – and able to demonstrate the ability to work accurately
  • Commercial acumen and numerical aptitude
  • Structured and logical reasoning powers
  • Clear and confident communication and presentation skills

Nice to have but not essential

It would be great if you tick some of these boxes too (but we won’t hold it against you if you don’t).

  • Degree educated or work experience within a similar role
  • Advanced level Excel
  • Work experience within a yield, inventory, commercial or marketing team in the travel industry
  • A good understanding of trends within the UK travel sector
