Job Summary

The roleof Commis Chef is vitally important to our culinary team. Areas of focusinclude all food preparation areas including Banquets, Room Service,Restaurant, Bar/lounge and associate canteen to ensure a consistent, highquality food products.

Specificduties include:

- Ensuring that you havefull product knowledge of all menu items.

- Supplying the highest possible levelsof customer care and service whether in the public eye or in the Heart of theHouse.

- To assist the Senior Culinary team inall aspects of the day to day running of the Kitchen.

- To assist in the running of a kitchen sectionunder the guidance of the Senior Chefs.

- To be capable of taking charge of anysection in the kitchen and running it competently.

- To act upon training given by theSenior Chefs and to be enthusiastic in completion of jobs that are set.

- To ensure the kitchen is clean andtidy at all times.

- To be capable of preparing dishes witha minimum of wastage.

- To be fully aware of the Accident ReportingProcedure. Maintenance Fault Procedure and Fire Policy and to understand howthe hotel Health and Safety Policy affects your department and how it links inwith the rest of the hotel.

Clean andmaintain all areas through the Kitchen areas. Report accidents, injuries, andunsafe work conditions to manager; complete safety training and certifications.Support with general enquiries regarding the food menu as well as anydietaryor allergy requests.
