General Manager

We are looking for an experienced General Manager to run this exciting Town Pub and Kitchen site, a great front of house persona and exceptional standards in all areas is required.

The Castle Grounds in Coventry part of Stonegate’s Town Pub and Kitchen Collection. It is very much a chameleon-style venue which operates in all situations, offering unrivalled sports viewing and fantastic food including delicious hand-crafted pies, complemented, of course, by an extensive range of premium draught, craft beers, wines, cocktails and soft drinks for all tastes. This is definitely one of Coventry’s première night spots in the heart of the city.

This impressive two story Victorian-built venue, is popular with shoppers, day trippers & office workers and there is a fabulous bookable space that is very popular with students and societies.

This site really has it all, a relaxed alternative to the coffee shop for breakfast, whilst still providing a fantastic community atmosphere with great evening entertainment. There is a regular range of customer events, including top live sports coverage, a fabulous bookable space. It just needs the right General Manager to take it to the next level.

The successful applicant will be an experienced manager with knowledge and evidence of growing sales & working to exceptional standards.

You will be well organised for this two floor operation with a passion for exceptional service & standards as well as the high energy evening market.

The successful applicant should have experience of driving wet and dry sales at a similar level at least and a proven track record of attracting new customers into their business, managing the customer profile through many occasions.

A good understanding of managing sport sales and entertainment is important to the business as is a passion for craft beers and cocktails. The success of the operation requires a proven track record of growing sales and experience of working in a city centre environment.
