Opened in 1900 as the town’s first purpose built hotel, the Majestic Hotel is within easy reach of Harrogate's vibrant town centre and perfectly placed for exploring the local countryside and beyond.

About the role…
As Conference & Banqueting Manager, you will co-ordinate conferences for corporate clients in the meeting rooms using our PMS system. You will process, organise and oversee the day to day bookings of the meeting rooms, ensuring a smooth organised service with excellent customer focus. The role will also be to proactively market and sell the conference and meeting rooms, Co-ordinate all Corporate functions from arrival to departure and be their first point of contact throughout their stay. You'll be managing all enquiries for conferences and ensure maximum sales and conversion and to maximise all revenue opportunities. You will also maintain a strong working relationship with conference customers to ensure their needs are met and support repeat business. You'll be the first point of contact for all existing and new clients, conducting show-rounds within our beautiful hotel and promote other areas within it.

About you…
The successful candidate will be an individual with strong communication and customer service skills with an experience of working in a busy conference and events environment, preferably within a hotel environment. You'll be friendly, welcoming and customer focussed. You will need to be energetic, well presented with an enthusiastic and professional manner with the capability of prioritising your own workload, be self-motivated and contribute to the overall team performance. The ideal candidate will be flexible to work additional and out of hours where required and have strong IT Skills including word processing, spreadsheets, databases and presentation software, internet, email and social media with attention to detail and accuracy.
