Reporting to the Network Marketing Manager and working closely with the Digital, Campaign and CRM marketing teams, you will primarily be responsible for supporting our in-hostel marketing strategy across a network of over 160 hostels, including our ongoing investment program and growth in food and beverage sales.

This is a fast-paced and varied role that plays a key part in promoting the YHA brand and delivering a consistent customer experience. It will utilise the knowledge you have gained across all marketing disciplines, as well as develop your creative problem solving skills and planning capabilities. And it will provide a great opportunity to gain real experience working as part of an award winning marketing team within a national brand.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Supporting our in-hostel customer communication strategy
• Supporting print and distribution of Point-Of-Sale campaigns
• Copywriting/proof-reading across print and e-marketing communications
• Analysing competitors in the hospitality/retail sectors
• Reviewing our membership scheme partnerships and special offers
• Evaluating and making recommendations on our communications to a youth audience

Required experience and attributes:

• Studying a degree in a marketing discipline
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Good analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail
• ICT literate, proficient in the use of Microsoft packages including e-mail, word processing, database and spreadsheet applications
• Strong planning and organisation capabilities, with a proactive and positive approach
• An interest in travel, hospitality or retail sectors
