We are currently recruiting for a Lifeguard based in the heart of Winchester at the award winning River Park Leisure Centre.  As one of our larger centres River Park offers a number of facilities ranging from a gym, swimming pools, studio classes, physiotherapy and sports injury clinics.

What your role will be

This is an exciting time to join an already established team in setting the standards for how Places for People Leisure deliver leisure services to the local community. You will be based on a wet site, supervising customers and keeping them safe while abiding to the Health and Safety Act. You will be expected to deliver an excellent customer service experience, engaging with both customers and staff members.

As part of the leisure team you will be tasked with keeping all areas clean and hygienic at all times, maintaining high standards of cleanliness while carrying out daily pool checks.

The opening times are Monday-Friday 5.30am-11pm, Saturday 6am-9pm, Sunday 6am-11pm and the rota is a 6 week rolling rota.

Your background

The successful applicant will have experience of working within a safety conscious environment; ideally you will have National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) and first aid although training will be provided. If you do not possess NLPQ you must be a competent swimmer and be able to gain the qualification after a 1 week course. Above all you will be passionate about swimming safety and be able to show at interview your excellent customer service skills and experience.
