Grange Hotels, a private collection of luxury hotels primarily located in the heart of the world's most exciting city – London is looking to recruit Conference and Events Executive

As Meeting and Events Sales Executive you will manage enquiries for whole group spaces through to handover to the hotel team. As Meeting and Events Sales Executive you will work closely with the proactive sales team and hotels in order to convert new meeting and event business. Ideally you will have had experience in a large hotel or venue with administrative background.

The Meeting and Events Sales Executive role is ideal for an existing Meeting and Events Executive or strong Meeting and Events Coordinator. You will be tenacious, driven and a forward thinking person.

The role is to support the Sales Managers in managing the reactive sales process of the Conference Services team, which includes responding to client enquiries, organising site visits with team onsite and producing quotations for clients, focusing on development of business and optimising sales to increase conversion

General Function:

  • Handling events enquiries; sending out proposals, organising site visits with hotels, following up and preparing all documents relating to the events with handover to the hotels
  • Chase all existing provisional bookings in order to maximise possibility of conversion
  • To ensure that the bookings are maintained on the booking system and all information is recorded and fully accurate
  • Increasing conversion of enquiries and provisional bookings by cross selling to sister hotels
  • Assist Sales Managers, achieve objectives to ensure we develop business with existing and new clients
  • Under direction of the Sales Manager, assist with the Account Management of key clients
  • To ensure that the standards of service are as per Standard Operating Procedures and Service Level Agreement.
  • To support the Sales Manager with sales and marketing projects.

Skills, Knowledge and Experience required:

  • Computer literate
  • Proven ability to be calm in stressful situations.
  • Natural ability to sell or understand how to approach sales
  • Proven team player
  • Experience working in a venue or in a similar role
