What is the main purpose of the role?
The Senior Event Manager will take responsibility for the effective management and control of operations in all conference, events and banqueting rooms and other supporting areas, to the specified standards of the hotel and department, adhering to company and statutory regulations.
In this role you will lead and manage the Meeting & Events Operations Department so that it performs efficiently and effectively.
You will provide support to the Event Managers and Supervisors through articulate planning and action so that the department achieves its targets.
You will be present to meet and greet clients, checking their requirements and passing on relevant information.
The Ideal Candidate
It is essential as Senior Event Manager that you will have previously worked at management level prior to this position. You should have experience of managing and developing a team, along with setting KPIs to evaluate your teams' perfomance.
To be successful in this role, you’ll be highly organised with an eye for detail and you’ll thrive working under pressure and to tight deadlines.
It would be desirable if you held a Personal Licence or if you are willing to work towards achieving one.
The Senior Event Manager must be passionate about their role, show flair and constantly look for fresh ideas, encouraging creative thinking in the team.
