Job Introduction
Your role is to improve the Financial Control of the UK Business and to work cross functionally to ensure the UK financial statements and associated information are complete, accurate and prepared on a timely basis.

Main Responsibilities

  • Working with the Finance Manager - UK Control on period end activities for the UK business to ensure complete, accurate and timely reporting of periodic results to Group Finance. This includes:
  • Reviewing period end results, collating and preparing commentary for submission to Group Finance;
  • Working across UK Finance teams to drive improved control and insight for Group and external reporting;
  • Identifying potential accounting & control issues through thorough review of UK periodic accounts;
  • Ensuring accounting for the UK business complies with IFRS and pro-actively understanding and communicating the impact of any changes in policy.
  • At key points in the year, working with the Statutory Accounts team to prepare the key statutory accounts for the UK business;
  • Helping to identify finance process and system improvements and working on projects that increase financial control and simplify / standardise the way we approach the record to report process;
  • Working collaboratively with teams across the UK Finance, Group Finance and Finance Transformation to deliver process and system improvements for the UK business.


The Ideal Candidate
  • Independent and pro-active in nature
  • Experience of working in a financial control role in a complex and fast paced organisation.
  • Track record of delivering finance process and system improvements
  • Qualified chartered accountant
  • Strong understanding of IFRS GAAP
