Phyllis Court Club is a lively and busy country house Private Members Club on the banks of the River Thames in Henley. We offer first class dining, accommodation, social and sporting facilities for 3000 + members.

This is an exciting time for Phyllis Court Club with the opening of The Fitness Centre in 2018.

We are currently seeking:

Fitness Centre Manager

The Fitness Centre Manager will support the development and design of The Fitness Centre; in accordance with the expectations of the Members and the Senior Management Team, both pre and post-opening within the specifications of the planning permission.

The individual will be responsible for all aspects of The Fitness Centre, including recruitment, implementation of initiatives, income and expenditure, overseeing the gym, group classes and devising bespoke exercise programmes for Members. You will be responsible for driving and promoting usage, as well as delivering training and coaching sports activities. The Fitness Centre Manager will be relied upon to guarantee a safe and healthy environment with excellent customer service and standards of cleanliness throughout the Club.

The Person

In order to be successful in this role you must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are ESSENTIAL and well as proven ability to demonstrate people management to a high level.

You will need to have a good knowledge of all aspects of the fitness industry.

Excellent organisational skills are also required for this demanding role and the ability to help train, develop and lead your team to ensure the standards of the Club are met.

Salary: £35,000 P/A

Post type: Full time
