Kitchen Assistant/ Porter - Weekend Work - Westonbirt Restaurant

We are currently looking for a Kitchen Porter to join our team at the Westonbirt Restaurant, near Tetbury, Gloucestershire.

The Role:

It can get a little hot in the kitchen, and so, what we need from a great kitchen porter is someone who can work under pressure, deliver efficiently and have the skills to clean until even the chef’s sparkle.

It is very important that you understand that your role in the kitchen is to act as the back bone of the operation, providing crucial support to the team and helping to keep all stations ticking along nicely.

You will need to be well versed in saying ‘Chef!’ liaising with the kitchen brigade daily, checking their requirements, and kicking into gear (especially during service times) to assist them in operating effectively, particularly when maintaining agreed standards of service.

It is also pretty important to us that when you clock in you are very well presented, displaying an excellent standard of cleanliness and hygiene (fairy soft hands please...) and that you are a person who likes to start their day off with a very big smile, after all hospitality doesn’t have to stop at the kitchen doors.
