An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Management Accountant within the Commercial Finance department at Carnival UK's Head office in Southampton. This position will be responsible for assisting in the provision of the accounts. Duties will includes monthly reporting, budget and forecast processes as well as working closely with the business, to provide timely, accurate and insightful information for senior management to inform decision making and drive performance.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Management Accountant within the Commercial, Onboard & Hotel Accounting Team Carnival UK's Head office in Southampton. This position will be responsible for assisting in the provision of the accounts. Duties will include monthly accounting & reporting as well as working closely with the business, to provide timely, accurate and insightful information for senior management to inform decision making and drive performance.
Within this role you will deal with the following:
  • accounting
  • processing
  • ledger analysis
  • reconciliation
  • reporting
  • other associated business relationships relating to Onboard Activities (such as Entertainment costs, Stores and Hotel operations for Carnival UK).
Your activities will include:
  • Liaising with the business in regards to reported financial results to drive a better understanding of activities and performance.
  • Raising and processing of journals relating to on board hotel activities
  • Preparation of month end reporting with commentary for review by the Hotel costs Management Accountant
  • Investigating and resolving issues identified with the business.
  • Analysis, review and presentation of financial information to inform clearer understanding of issues.
Key to this role will be your ability to develop strong relationships and processes that enable the accurate reporting, understanding and interpretation of financial performance.
You will be self motivated, as well as being able to work well within a team to deliver exceptional commercial and operational performance. You will also have excellent attention to detail and will have superb numeracy.
