About The Tesco Direct Team
The Tesco Direct Trading team is a team that consists of trading, imagery & product, copy & editorial and product data functions, covering all categories on direct - general merchandise and clothing. Collectively the team are responsible for delivering a continually improving customer focussed, multi-channel 'e-commerce' experience, which exceeds commercial objectives, by successfully blending commerciality, content, analytics, & visual merchandising.

Main Responsibilities
- Managing the Online Inspire Me editorial content plan for the website (Clothing and General Merchandise) in line with the broader trade plans and trading activities.
- Ensure Online editorial content is SEO compliant and optimised for the web 
- Editing website copy including product descriptions, banner copy, product listings page copy, static pages and service messaging
- Engaging with key stakeholders to ensure content is aligned with Product Induction, Marketing & Trading calendars
- Engaging with Buying and Merchandising teams to ensure that key items and trends are highlighted in editorial content and that there is good stock availability of hero products
- Briefing Online editorial features to Production
- Quality Assurance of features before go-live (inc.CTA's, SEO and legal compliance)
- Tracking and measuring Online editorial performance, feeding learnings into editorial and trading plan
- Ensure Online legal compliance for all Editorial content.
- Understanding & implementation of Search Engine Optimisation best practice
- Following our Business Code of Conduct and always acting with integrity and due diligence
 

The Ideal Candidate
Previous experience producing fashion editorial content, ideally in a multichannel retail environment
- Proofreading and sub-editing experience
- Experience in managing external agencies and photo shoots
Writing, editorial, proofreading & sub-editing skills
- Project management skills
- Understanding of SEO best practice 
- Stakeholder management skills
- Communications skills
- MS Office
