Opening in Spring 2018 in the Bloomberg Arcade, Brigadiers is seeking a highly personable Events & Private Dining Coordinator to join our team.

From the multi-award-winning and critically-acclaimed JKS Restaurants, Brigadiers will be a contemporary Indian barbecue and beer tavern inspired by the army mess bars of India, where regiments go to eat, drink and socialise.

A reception will lead guests into a myriad of rooms including a dining room, a bar stocked with over 30 different beers and an enviable whisky selection, a taps room, and three private dining rooms including a ‘pot luck’ conservatory. Encouraging socialising and comradery, live sport will be shown on demand across selected rooms, while a pool table and classic card games will be offered for those who wish to play while they eat and drink.

As Events & Private Dining Coordinator, you will be responsible for driving and maximising sales volumes in the restaurant. You will achieve this by:
• Responding effectively to inbound private dining and events enquiries, as well as effective liaison with the operational team onsite;
• Full management and co-ordination of all events from enquiry to onsite delivery;
• Preparing all relevant event documentation including contracts, function sheets, floor plans, table plans, place card, menus, etc;
• Preparing and ensuring contracts are put in place for each event, and signed and returned by clients in line with SOPs;
• Ensuring effective liaison with the client to create accurate and complete proposal documents to ensure the operational team deliver the event/dinner as per the client’s expectations;
• Maximising revenue and optimising occupancy of all private dining spaces;
• Ensuring all enquiries (PDR, Groups and Exclusive Hires) are effectively managed and handled in accordance with agreed standards to maximise conversion;
• Managing the tracking of each individual enquiry and ensuring follow up within a timely manner;
• Working closely with the onsite restaurant team, as well as Head Office’s Events and Sales team.

The successful Events & Private Dining Coordinator will:
• Have a good background in the Events industry;
• Be a true people-person, able to develop close working relationships with ease;
• Be adaptable, able to respond quickly and positively to changing requirements and responsibilities;
• Be proactive and enthusiastic, always seeking opportunities to enhance the client experience;
• Have the ability to multi-task whilst maintaining excellent attention to detail, organisation and time-management skills;
• Have excellent written and verbal communication skills, including fluent English language ability, good telephone manner and impeccable spelling and grammar;
• Have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages and experience of SevenRooms reservations system would be beneficial;
• Be educated to degree-level, ideally in Marketing or Events.
