Purpose of the role:

This role is for an experienced Purchasing Manager to work within a small but very busy purchasing team within a fast paced leisure environment and needs to be able to adapt to the business surroundings in a speedy nature.

Role responsibilities:

As a Purchasing Manager you will be responsible for sourcing equipment, goods and services and managing suppliers. The successful candidate will be able to perform strategic procurement activities across multiple categories of spend working with a broad range of stake holders in a multi brand and business environment.

Qualifications, experience and training:

• Strong Strategic sourcing capability
• Strong Negotiator
• Highly effective management of suppliers
• Proficient in stakeholder management and communications
• Senior Purchasing Professional with significant experience in - contract negotiations, supplier management, tenders
• Experience of contract development and contract management
• Highly adaptable and able to work under a pressure environment

Interim Cover required to take over and manage projects such as:

• Marketing (specific focus on print, media buying and creative services)
• Travel
• Laundrettes
• White Goods and Small Domestic Appliances
• Furniture (specific projects focused on beds)
