The River Lee Cork now has an excellent opportunity available for a Revenue Manager to join our management team.

An opportunity to join the onsite Reservations and Revenue team at The River Lee in Cork is now available for a strategic revenue professional who is looking to join a progressive company with great opportunities for professional development. 

As Revenue Manager for The River Lee, a Doyle Collection property, you will work alongside the hotel General Manager and the Group Director of Revenue to determine the revenue management and distribution strategy of the hotel as well as the day to day management of yield operations. As the Manager of the Revenue and Reservations department, you will be a key member of the hotel's Executive Team and will work closely with the Sales, Finance and Operations teams.

Purpose:

To manage the overall revenue function of the business to include Rooms Revenue and Conference and Banqueting.  To maximum revenue opportunities for the business via detailed analysis of all available data streams. To lead the team with enthusiasm, eagerness and with a genuine care for our guests, thus ensuring their needs are at the forefront of our business and delivered beyond their expectations.  A market leading standard for a market-leading hotel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Driving revenue generating plans for all revenue streams pertaining to Rooms and Conference  & Banqueting and working with all Management in its delivery.
  • Analysis of Rate reports and the production of policy relating to rate strategy.
  • Analyse and report on booking trends.
  • Obtain timely and accurate information on competitors including pricing, business levels and facilities available.
  • Develop and maintain a market leading knowledge on web based business strategies.
  • Maintain and review all business contracts involving room revenues and Conference & Banqueting sales.
  • Make recommendations regarding the implementation of contract clauses.
  • Advise management of upcoming events and revenue generating potential.
  • Chair weekly yield meetings, ensuring points are deliverable and actioned.
  • Liases daily with Front Office team in order to maximise the yield potential.
  • Preparation of the weekly and monthly reports.
  • Preparation of a monthly forecasts for relevant revenue streams.
  • Complete the preparation and presentation of the Annual Hotel Budget with reference to Rooms and Conference and Banqueting.
  • Meet daily with General Manager to discuss revenues streams and ongoing strategies
  • Work on a daily basis in conjunction with Sales & Marketing functions of the business to ensure that the hotel is involved in all areas of Marketing and Advertising to increase the Hotel profile and in developing of key accounts.
  • Complete a training program in conjunction with Human Resources for the department.
  • Complete regular training and educational programmes sponsored by the hotel in order to add to my skills and those of the Revenue team.

The ideal candidate for this position:

  • At least 3 years previous revenue management experience within luxury hotel market
  • Steady career path with solid experience through Front Office/Revenue functions
  • Demonstrate analytical excellence in the field of revenue management
  • Demonstrate taking ownership of problems and making decisions
  • Demonstrate energy and enthusiasm in previous roles and personal interactions
  • Demonstrate leadership capability and leading by example
  • To be a strong communicator to team members, peers and guests
  • To be standards orientated and have good attention to detail
  • Good personal presentation a pre-requisite.
  • Knowledge of Opera an advantage.
