Job Details
GLL are looking for Holiday scheme Activity Leaders to help run the summer holiday schemes within our Leisure Centres across Belfast. We are looking for leaders with a passion for sports and activities, to supervise children and young people aged 5 - 16 years, in a well structured and safe environment, providing them a fun and exciting environment.
Working closely with the Duty Managers, you will ensure that the Holiday scheme runs smoothly on a day-to-day basis. You will be able to relate to our customers and your energy and enthusiasm will ensure that the children and young people have the most enjoyable time possible as well as staying safe. You will be working with a team of like-minded people and encouraged to develop your ideas to inspire the children and young people that attend the holiday scheme.
You will be motivated and ambitious - always looking for the next challenge. You will ideally need to be qualified or working towards relevant coaching or play worker qualifications and or have appropriate experience of direct supervision of children and young people with disabilities, including planning the delivery of an activities programme and customer - facing experience, but being an excellent communicator and driven in your work will also stand you in good stead. You will need to have good knowledge of child protection and safeguarding and be able to adhere to stringent health and safety requirements. As well as demonstrating your knowledge of children activates and coaching sports. You will show a commitment to learn and develop within the team and in return, we will help you to develop your career with us.
Due to the nature of the role, specifically the safeguarding and supervisory of 16 years old applicants will be required to be 18 years old and over.
In return, we offer a range of benefits that you'd expect from the UK's largest leisure provider:
- Pension schemes
- Discounted membership at our leisure centres
- Career pathways
- Ongoing training and development
If you have what it takes to keep children active and happy at our Holiday Play Schemes, apply now.
All pay rates are subject to skills, experience, qualifications, age and location.
