Security Officer (Nights) - Par Sands Holiday Park

It’s an exciting time for Park Leisure. We’ve recently bought our 12th park and there are exciting plans for the future.

The park

Situated on the shores of St Austell Bay, Par Sands Holiday Park offers a picturesque location, along with superb grounds and exceptional leisure facilities – it even includes its own freshwater lake for holiday makers to sit and relax by.

The job

You’ll manage access both in and out of the park, ensuring no unauthorised entrance. You’ll welcome customers to the park in a polite and professional manner, building and maintaining a rapport, gaining their trust and confidence, whilst providing them with a great service. You’ll patrol the park on a regular basis, ensuring it is safe and secure at all times and will respond to emergency situations when applicable.

You’ll undertake administrative duties when required, including updating logs and completing incident reports. You’ll work in conjunction with company procedures and will adhere to health and safety policies at all times.

You’ll respond to issues our holiday makers are experiencing, for example, assisting with problems with televisions, heating systems, as well as changing gas bottles and other general queries, leaving a handover to the team if issues were unable to be rectified, so they can be dealt with the next day.

About you

You’re friendly, polite, self-motivated and enthusiastic and enjoy providing excellent customer service. You’re able to communicate in a clear and precise manner, able to work alone and enjoy working outdoors. You are vigilant, focused, reliable, professional and conscientious. You’re able to use your initiative, cope well under pressure and have the confidence to act appropriately as the situation demands.

Experience

Previous experience of working in a security role is essential. Ideally, you will have worked in a similar environment. You’ll also be educated to GCSE level or equivalent.

A driving licence is required in order to undertake this role. You will need to be aged 21 or above in order to apply for this role, as you’ll be required to drive company vehicles.

A basic DBS check is required in order to undertake this role.

Pay

National Minimum Wage/National Living Wage. Benefits such as holiday and pension are also on offer.

Contract

13 hours per week. You’ll be working Thursday and Friday nights, in the winter months working 5.00pm until midnight and in the summer months working 6.00pm until 1.00am.
