Do you have experience within administration or in a receptionist position? Do you consider yourself professional, organised and personable? McMullen and Sons has an exciting opportunity, we are looking to recruit a part time receptionist, from Wednesday to Friday, based at Head Office in Hertford.


Broad Description of Duties

  • Greet visitors in a professional and courteous manner
  • Answer the phone and transfer calls from the switchboard
  • Franking the post to be sent out on a daily basis
  • Keep the reception area clear and tidy
  • Ensuring that an accurate record of cars parked at head office is maintained
  • Recording and notifying the cellar service department of any problems with beer or equipment
  • Recording and distribution of all parcel deliveries received into head office
  • Assist the accounts department with the processing of invoices
  • Unloading the dishwasher on arrival
  • Ensuring that front and back doors are locked at the end of the day and opened in the morning as required
  • Monitoring the e-mail sent to reception and distributing the same if appropriate
  • Reporting telephone faults
  • Provide cover for all times the other receptionist is not available
  • Ensuring a good handover is made to other receptionists so that important information is passed on
