We operate spectacular ships all over the world, through strong cruise brands such as P&O Cruises and Cunard. Work with us as a Revenue Analyst and you'll go far too.
You'll be responsible for the management of the revenue / pricing optimisation process in line with our business strategy. Your main focus will be to optimise the revenue performance through the management of rate of sale, volume and price. You'll identify opportunities to deliver revenue improvement, through process review and challenging strategy.
An exciting position has arisen with the P&O Cruises Revenue Management team.
A Revenue Analyst is being sought to join the team within a permanent capacity at the impressive Carnival UK head office in Southampton.

The Role
Your main focus will be to optimise the revenue performance through the management of rate of sale, volume and price. You'll identify opportunities to deliver revenue improvement, through process review and challenging strategy.

Key to the success of the role will be your ability to use our management tools to plan the trajectory of pricing for each cruise. You'll evaluate the impact of decisions throughout the booking cycle as well as work collaboratively with the wider commercial business.
We are looking for someone who either comes from a revenue / pricing background or a numerical / analystical background. It's critical that you have a strong numerical education (degree level - such as mathamatics / statistics / economics) and you will also need to have first class communication skills for this role, as relationship management is an important part of the role.

Experience Required:

Essential:
  • Strong previous experience within a revenue / pricing / numerical / analytical role
  • Intermediate - advanced Excel skills
  • Strong communication skills - relationship management is an important part of the role.
  • Understanding of how commercial teams work effectively in a production process like way to improve results.
  • Strong practical and theoretical awareness of pricing strategies and principles
  • Strong practical awareness of Yield Management.
  • Strong practical awareness of Inventory Management.

Desirable:
  • Forecast planning processes
  • Managing change projects that are cross functional
  • Awareness of competitor cruise line inventory management practices
  • Experience of the UK cruise market and legal and regulatory constraints.

Education, Qualifications and Training
Essential:
  • GCSEs - including Mathematics, English and a Science or equivalent qualification
  • A Level - including Mathematics and or a Science or equivalent qualification

Desirable:
· HND - Business related subject or equivalent qualification
· Degree - Business Studies or other business related subject or Mathematics or Science or equivalent qualification
