We are seeking a Head of Business Systems to join our team based in Christchurch, Dorset.

 This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the business, helping us move forward through the delivery of technology driven improvements and business change projects to deliver an enhanced customer experience and business growth.

About the role:

  • To lead the development and implementation of the IT strategy to support the wider business goals
  • to work with the business to ensure optimisation of existing systems
  • to actively engage with the business on an ongoing basis as the technical lead to deliver improved insight, service, and more efficient ways of working
  • to lead programme and project management for key initiatives (IT and non IT based)
  • pro-actively manage working relationships with external partners and the wider business
  • developing IT's methods and approaches, to best practice standards
  • responsibility for managing daily activities including data and reporting,

The role will be based at GSS Head Office, Highcliffe but you will be required to travel to our parks on occasion.

About you:

  • You will be able to demonstrate a combination of commercial acumen, technical know-how and good communication skills.
  • Your technical know-how will include experience in designing and supporting Information Systems & IT infrastructure, along with monitoring processes to enable continuous improvement against benchmarked standards. However, this role is as much business focused as it is technical.
  • Your experience will also include experience of managing data (SQL in particular). Any background driving digital strategies is desirable as the business is moving forward with how we engage with both internal and external customers.
  • Project management and communication skills are key to your success in this role.

We are offering a package of £55k basic salary plus car or car allowance.
