About the role:

The Bankside Health Club is on the lookout for a professional and personable Full Time Receptionist to join the team and deliver first class customer service at the Club. This is a fantastic position for the right candidate to develop their career in a growing organisation and mark their personality on the role.

You will lead the way in delivering the highest standards of customer experience to our membership base, along with acting as the front line of customer engagement to make and manage prospect enquiries, member & client bookings for health and fitness and beauty services.

You will act as a brand ambassador at all times and use your strong communication skills to converse effectively and resolve issues with the profile of our members and guests.

In addition, you will assume the position of Duty Manager for the Club in the absence of Heads of Department and General Manager, taking responsibility for operational issues and strive to exceed weekly and monthly objectives and KPIs in relation to these areas. As a receptionist you will also tour potential new members and guests at appropriate times and work effectively in conjunction with colleagues and Heads of Department

You will be fully supported by a friendly team and overseen by the Front Of House Manager.

In addition to a basic salary you will enjoy commission on each membership that you successfully sell to touring prospectives.

About you:

To succeed in this role, you will ideally have a customer service background and have the ability to hit the ground running in a fast paced environment, you will be a self-motivated team player and have the ability to work alone with little supervision.

You will have an impeccable telephone manner and have excellent IT skills and have the ability to pick up new technologies quickly. You will live for customer service and be able to think on your feet when working under pressure.

Ideally you will have previous experience of managing a busy appointment diary and a passion for fitness and/or beauty. In addition, the role will require experience of supervising a team and have experience of cash handling policy and banking

You will be immaculately presented at all times, exude positivity and have a can-do attitude. You will be comfortable with operating in a multi-facetted environment and be able to retail.

You will also be flexible to work shifts which will include 6.00am starts to which you will have the responsibility in opening the club, and 10pm finishes where you will be responsible for the close and therefore you will need to consider your travel arrangements in order to accommodate.
