Catering Manager - Furzefield Leisure Centre, Potters Bar

Hours: 39 Hours per Week (Full Time)

Salary: Starting salary from £20,000 depending on age and experience

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Catering Manager at the Furzefield Centre, Potters Bar working with a dynamic and friendly team.

Would you be able to handle the following? 

• Ordering, rotating and controlling stock
• Preparing staff rotas, training and managing catering staff
• Devising delicious menus and applying costs
• Developing a nutritious menu for the on-site nursery
• Working ‘hands on’ in the kitchen preparing and delivering food to the nursery and Centre customers
• Understanding and implementing food hygiene regulations to the highest standards
• Looking for new ways to maximise the income from the catering function
• Managing costs against budget
• Maintain and update HACCP systems as required
• Control of allergens
• Customer care
• Cash handling

The ideal candidate must have supervisory or managerial experience and a minimum of two years experience in a professional catering environment. You will hold (or be willing to work towards) a Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate.  A professional catering qualification would be an advantage but is not essential. 

You must be able to work every other weekend and some evenings. Applicants looking for part time are also welcome to apply.
