Sports & Leisure Support Manager - Newcastle upon Tyne

One of our Central Support Offices is based in Gosforth and is a bustling hub of Parkdean Resorts. This exciting place to work houses all the essential supporting functions for our 72 holiday parks along with our award winning Contact Centre.

This modern office has a great feel, a mix of energetic knowledgeable professionals all working as one unified team to achieve Parkdean Resorts objectives. Based near the centre of Newcastle upon Tyne, it has great transport links.

Do you have experience of managing a Sports & Leisure function? Have you a proven background of developing a Sports & Leisure programme? An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Sports & Leisure Support Manager to assist in developing the Sports & Leisure programme at Parkdean Resorts.

Reporting to the Entertainment Executive, the successful Candidate will be responsible for overseeing and implementing the sports & Leisure annual operation project plan.

Your key duties will include:

* Overseeing the implementation of the ‘All Together Active' leisure and sports programme across the business; ensuring driving consistent delivery of activities and quality of customer service.

* Leading the development, implementation and delivery of our nature and wildlife activity programme (Outdoor ‘n' Explore) to ensure it is delivered on time and on budget.

* Working with procurement and retail to develop a retail range to support the leisure department on each park; tailoring the leisure retail range to each park size and to suit the facility and customer demand.

* Working with marketing on brochure and web requirements and on all sports and leisure on park promotional materials and point of sale.

* Supporting the Leisure Managers with the purchase of all leisure equipment.

* Monitoring closely customer feedback of our pools and activities, ensuring action plans for poor performers and rewards through incentives for top performers.

* Providing day to day support for all sports and leisure managers on sports and leisure activity, training, POS, leisure retail requirements.

The successful Candidate willl have the following skills and experience:

Essential:

* Leisure management experience within the holiday park or activity holiday sector.

* Good level of understanding of health and safety in the leisure industry particularly around activities.

* Project Management experience - operating multiple projects simultaneously.

Desirable:

* Previous experience in managing activity and leisure programme across multiple locations

* Budget management and operating P&L

* Leadership experience

* Pool management experience

* Leisure Management - training leisure professionals in delivering activities to customers

* Customer service experience
