Duty Manager | Basingstoke Aquadrome

 

Salary: up to £22,000 depending on experience + Fantastic Benefits

Location: Basingstoke, RG22 6PG

Hours: 40 per week, flexibility to work evenings and at weekends is required.

Overview of the role

 

As the Duty Manager you will manage the facility on a day to day basis ensuring all activities are delivered to a high standard with safety as the first priority.  The role will involve a high level of customer interaction as well as the deployment and supervision of the department teams. 

 

You will take control and respond in the event of any emergency situation.   

 

Each Duty Manager will be aligned to a specific area of responsibility of which they will be accountable for.  Areas include:

 

  • Health, Safety and Quality
  • Commercial
  • Operations

 

About you

 

As the successful candidate you must be able to evidence operational and people management, preferably gained within a Leisure environment.

 

As a Manager of people you will have extensive experience of managing and successfully leading and developing team across Basingstoke leisure centre. 

 

You will possess well developed problem solving skills with the ability to think creatively to satisfactorily resolve problems in a systematic and logical manner.

 

Your naturally strong team working, written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills will stand you in good stead in this role as will your ability to be assertive and exercise authority when appropriate.

 

Essential qualifications

 

  • First Aid at Work qualification including AED
  • National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ)
  • Pool Plant Operators Qualification (PPO) - Desirable
  • IOSH Managing Safely qualification - Desirable
  • IQL Trainer Assessor qualification - Desirable
