Kitchen Assistant - Ilkley

Our Ilkley Bistrot Pierre is open seven days a week and we serve Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner (Monday to Sunday).

Our restaurant typically caters for a volume of anything from around 70 covers on a quiet weekday lunch service up to around 190 covers per service on a busy lunchtime evening or weekend.

About us:

Bistrot Pierre prides itself on preparing, cooking and serving provincial French dishes using the freshest seasonal ingredients. And to ensure that our menus are as fresh as our dishes, we update them on a regular basis.

We already have a portfolio of 22 restaurants nationally, but we want even more people to be able to experience our delicious, wholesome food and so we have ambitious plans for expansion. For you, this means plenty of opportunity for career progression. All you need to bring to the table is a passion for self-growth and a willingness to learn. We’ll then provide you with the appropriate training and the opportunities for career advancement.

And as if that wasn’t enough we have recently had it confirmed, via our extensive staff survey, that we are a great place to work, with a strong team spirit where our teams are supported by great managers. A good work-life balance is an added bonus.

The role:

We are looking for an ambitious, helpful, hardworking team player with good attention to detail to join our kitchen porter team.

It is a hands-on and incredibly faced paced role and we think one that’s highly challenging and rewarding. We are looking for a committed individual who is extremely reliable and hardworking and who thrives on being busy. You will also be keen to undertake a variety of tasks within the kitchen with an eye to progressing your career.

Our vision statement is ‘great value and delicious cooking in a buzzy atmosphere provided by a friendly and professional team enjoying themselves’ and you will be expected to reflect this ethos.

Full training is given but what is more important to us is enthusiasm and a desire to learn and improve.

The benefits:

We offer a very attractive benefits package including competitive pay at all levels, a performance-related bonus scheme, a generous holiday entitlement and a contributory pension scheme.

And because we pride ourselves on our food, and therefore need great chefs, we also operate a chef referral scheme where you will receive £750 for a successful referral and appointment of CDP level chefs or higher.

To enhance your own career we provide a bespoke Bistrot Management Development programme, as well as the opportunities you need to progress.

Finally, as you would expect, we offer discount in all our restaurants, alongside additional discounts through Perkbox and MacDonald Hotels.
