The Cross Keys is situated in the centre of Llantrisant village which lies between Pontyclun and Pontyrpidd. Llantrisant is located in the Rhondda Cynon Taff overlooking the Vale of Glamorgan and the River Ely and is home to the Royal Mint. The pub is situated on the edge of a retail park, so more could be made of the passing trade.

  • Located in the busy town of Llantrisant
  • Well established entertainment programme
  • Opportunity to develop food, real ale and sports trade

Trading style

Recently refurbished to a high standard, the Cross Keys is situated in the beautiful town of Llantrisant, a hill top town, full of character, with cobbled streets and a square. There are a variety of local amenities such as tea shops and small locally run supermarkets within walking distance. The town attracts visitors all year round eager to visit its historical landmarks. The Cross Keys is a community pub in a thriving local area. Although food is currently offered there is scope to develop further and explore a wider menu choice. The staging area proves popular with weekend entertainment and could be developed even further. The pub is home to both a pool table and darts board which would give the licensee the opportunity to explore sports teams and more regular sporting events

Trade accomodation

On arrival through the front door you are greeted with a large well-maintained horseshoe bar with a pool table on the right and a selection of seating including a raised relaxed area with sofas and dart board. There are traditional wooden floors throughout the bar area. To the left of the bar there is a dining area which can seat 30 covers, and a raised area often used as a stage for weekly entertainment. The ladies and gents toilets are situated away from the main bar area leading out to a paved garden with benches and a small sheltered area. The kitchen has a two-door entry and is well equipped. Although the Cross keys does not have a car park there is a public car park nearby and some street parking

Private accomodation

The accommodation can be reached through a separate door from the street or through the pub and currently one en-suite room is used as a letting room with further two bedrooms and bathroom. It would suit either a family or all three rooms could be developed into letting accommodation
